Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Archiving Policy & Digital Preservation

International Journal for Research in Agricultural and Food Science (IJRAFS) is dedicated to providing enduring preservation, authenticity, and accessibility of all scholarly research articles that it publishes.

For this purpose, IJRAFS has adopted the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). PKP PN is a digital preservation network that has been developed by the Public Knowledge Project for the journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software.

By adopting PKP PN, IJRAFS ensures that the published articles along with their metadata are stored and preserved in order to provide reliable access to the scholarly literature. The digital preservation process incorporates distributed storage and preservation methods to safeguard the scholarly articles from any kind of risk that may cause loss of data.

Key Features of the Archiving System

  • Digital preservation of published articles and their metadata for an extended period of time
  • Secure preservation via distributed digital archiving
  • Prevention of data loss and technical problems
  • Facilitating future access to published materials for a long period of time
  • Preservation of the scholarly record independently from usual website operation

Through this policy, IJRAFS seeks to maintain the durability and accessibility of its published research and support the long-term preservation of agricultural and food science scholarship.
