International Journal for Research in Agricultural and Food Science (IJRAFS), an international scientific journal, ISSN 2208-2719, publishes research papers in agricultural sciences, food science and related interdisciplinary areas. The journal is a forum for disseminating scholarly research on current developments and challenges in agriculture and food systems and has been established in 2015 to serve as an international platform for researchers, academicians, scientists, practitioners and other professionals.

Scope & Coverage

IJRAFS is a publication of original research articles, review papers, short communications and technical studies that help scientific understanding and applications in agricultural and food sciences. It covers topics like agronomy, crop science, horticulture, plant breeding and genetics, plant physiology and plant pathology, entomology and soil science, irrigation management, agricultural engineering, agroforestry and sustainable farming systems.

The journal also publishes original research articles on agricultural biotechnology, climate smart agriculture, precision farming, resource efficient production, food processing, food quality and safety, food microbiology, post harvest handling, functional foods and sustainable preservation technologies.

It also focuses on interdisciplinary studies on agribusiness, agricultural economics, sustainable food systems, agricultural marketing, food policy, and rural development.

Peer Review & Publication Model

IJRAFS is a peer reviewed journal where the initial screening is done by the editor and then further peer review is done with qualified subject experts. The process helps to assess originality, research quality, academic relevance, and methodological soundness.

IJRAFS is an open access journal, meaning that articles published in the journal are free for all to access online. The journal is published quarterly in English with four issues published each year in March, June, September and December. The articles published are available under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) License.
