Copyright & Licensing Policies

Copyright

The International Journal for Research in Agricultural and Food Science (IJRAFS) is open to authors to keep copyright of published articles. At the time of publication, the authors transfer copyright of the work to the journal and grant the journal the right to publish and make it available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Derivative works, adaptations, modifications or uses for commercial purposes must be permitted by the holder of copyright.

Any commercial use, adaptation, modification, or creation of derivative works requires prior permission from the copyright holder.

Authors are free to use published articles in their academic or professional work, or for their own personal aims, for sharing and archiving in institutional repositories, on personal websites, on academic networks, and on non-commercial platforms in appropriate ways, acknowledging the original publication source in the process.

The authors may also make use of parts of their published work, such as figures, tables and quotations, for further scholarly works, books, teaching materials or other scholarly pursuits, provided that these parts are duly acknowledged and cited as parts of the published article.

Patent rights, proprietary rights or other intellectual property rights resulting from research remain with the respective author(s), unless otherwise covered by a separate agreement.

Author Responsibilities

The authors making a submission to IJRAFS will ensure the accuracy, originality and integrity of their manuscript. The author(s) guarantee (s) that:

  • Submission is original and plagiarism is not used.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published nor is it under consideration at another journal.
  • The content submitted does not knowingly appear to infringe on any existing copyright, privacy, intellectual property or other legal rights.
  • The author(s) have correctly cited and quoted all sources, materials, data, figures and other third party content used in the manuscript.
  • All the authors listed have made proper academic contribution to the work.
  • The final manuscript has been read and approved by all authors before it is submitted.
  • Research and presentation are in line with relevant academic and ethical guidelines.

Authors must be transparent, honest and adhere to academic integrity in their submission, review and publication process.

Licensing

The Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) is used to license all articles published by IJRAFS.

This is a licence that allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, share and otherwise use the published material in any medium or format, subject to appropriate credit being given to the original author(s) and the source of publication.

No part of the published material may be used for commercial purpose, modified, adapted, translated or used to create derivative works without prior permission of the copyright holder.

The published work should be cited in any redistribution or sharing, providing proper attribution to the author(s), article and original journal publication. No use is allowed that might be inferred by the use of published material by the users, that would reflect endorsement by the authors or IJRAFS.
