Plagiarism & AI Policy

Publication Ethics & Policies

International Journal for Research in Agricultural and Food Science (IJRAFS) takes publication ethics, academic integrity, originality, and scholarly publishing practices seriously.

Every manuscript submitted to the journal will be checked for plagiarism through plagiarism software before peer review and, when required, at other editorial stages as well. Any plagiarism in any shape or form such as copying from sources, inappropriate paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or uncredited use of content is unacceptable.

It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that the manuscript being submitted is original, cited correctly, and adheres to copyright and permission policies. Acknowledgment of all sources, materials used, and contributions made is necessary. The overall similarity index of the manuscript should not exceed 15%.

Generative AI Use Policy

The use of AI-based tools in generating texts, paraphrasing, translating, editing language or creating images should be made clear when submitting the manuscript. The use of AI tools may only be used for language or technical assistance and not substitute the intellectual input and judgement of the authors themselves.

AI-generated or AI-assisted content should not exceed 5% of the manuscript content. AI tools cannot be included as authors or co-authors. The authors will be held fully responsible for all AI-generated or AI-assisted content.

Authors assume total responsibility for the truthfulness, validity, originality, and authenticity of the work they submit. Submission of papers with high similarity, hidden use of AI, plagiarism, and other ethical issues can lead to editorial interventions such as revisions, rejection, corrections, or retractions as per the case.
